Breaking New Ground for CART

Lencheski To Introduce the Virtues of Champ Car Racing
To Nation’s Leading Entertainment Influentials, Planners

NEW ORLEANS (June 5, 2000) – Chris Lencheski, managing director of
Commercial Operations for CART FedEx Championship Series competitor
Hollywood/Mo Nunn Racing, will be a featured speaker at this week’s
sixth annual Out-of-home Entertainment Show. It marks the first
appearance by a world-class, open-wheel racing series participant at
this event, which draws, among other groups, influential real estate and
retail developers, urban planners, entertainment industry
decision-makers, and officials from city and county governments across
the country.

“This is a landmark opportunity to introduce the excitement and
tremendous business potential of Champ Car racing to those at very core
of planning our lifestyle and entertainment centers of the future,” said
Lencheski, who will head a panel discussion Thursday entitled
Integrating Brands & Lifestyle Experiences. The panel includes Janet
Marie Smith, former head of Turner Sports & Entertainment Development,
and Duncan Paterson of NBBJ Sports & Entertainment.

“Emerging trends in out-of-home entertainment are brought to the
forefront at this event, and we hope to pave the way toward bringing
open-wheel racing to America’s newest, cutting-edge entertainment
centers in the very near future,” added Lencheski, who is speaking at
this event for the second consecutive year.

“We’re extremely glad to have Chris back with us,” said event founder
John Ecklein. “Not only does he offer our audience valuable insight
into motor racing as a lifestyle and family entertainment choice, he can
share his vast experiences about how to attract sponsors and
spectators. The entertainment industry is realizing that, to create and
develop what we call ‘great, good places’ where people will want to be
and be seen, they have to continue to look beyond the traditional
means. Open-wheel racing has thrived on that concept for many, many
years.”
