Collins & Aikman Names Livingston Vice President - Business PlanningTROY, Mich. - Collins & Aikman Corporation today announced the appointment of John W. Livingston as Vice President - Business Planning. Jonathan L. Peisner, Senior Vice President - Communications, Investor Relations and Business Planning, made the announcement on behalf of Collins & Aikman. Livingston will be responsible for overseeing the Corporation's merger and acquisition activity, assisting in the development of Collins & Aikman's long- range strategy and analyzing key financial and marketplace statistics on Collins & Aikman, peer group companies and the automotive industry. In this capacity, Livingston will provide counsel to Collins & Aikman's senior management team regarding potential opportunities that will result in improving profitability and new business growth, further strengthening the Company's technology portfolio and broadening Collins & Aikman's customer and geographic presence. Prior to joining Collins & Aikman, Livingston spent the past 15 years as Chief Financial Officer for D.P., Inc., an automotive supplier located in Livonia, Mich. Livingston, who is a CPA, earned a bachelor's of science degree in accounting from Lawrence Technological University, Southfield, Mich., and has completed various graduate level tax and finance courses.
