TRW Division Selects EAI Solutions as Its Product Visualization and Digital MockUp Standard 
 VisMockUp(R) and VisConference(TM) Enable Concurrent Processes and Effective
 Communications Between Development Groups and Suppliers Using Separate Data
                               Creation Systems

    AMES, Iowa, June 5 Engineering Animation, Inc. announced today that TRW
Automotive's global Seat Belt Systems division has selected EAI's VisMockUp
and VisConference as its preferred product visualization and digital
prototyping solution.  TRW's seat belt division is working with EAI as part of
its initiative to implement a computer-aided design (CAD)-independent digital
mockup solution to enable collaboration, concurrent engineering and
visualization of product data via its Intranet.
    VisMockUp and VisConference enable TRW engineers and managers to visualize
product data with the goal of increasing collaboration across TRW's
facilities.  VisMockup provides TRW an integrated visual environment that
increases support for virtual prototyping and product and process
optimization.  VisConference will be used by TRW for online design reviews to
facilitate real-time, peer-to-peer collaboration among its dispersed project
team members.  With VisConference, engineers are able to view, markup and
share complex product and manufacturing data quickly and easily, resulting in
faster identification and resolution of product issues and speeding
time-to-market.
    Deployment of VisMockUp began this month in the design, engineering and
manufacturing areas of TRW Seat Belt Systems with continuous improvement goals
in quality and time-to-market. EAI's VisMockUp will tightly integrate with
SDRC's IDEAS Master Series(R), Unigraphics Solutions' Unigraphics(R) and
Dassault Systemes' CATIA(R). VisMockUp will also integrate with the existing
product data management (PDM) system, Unigraphics Solutions' IMAN(R), as well
as other PDMs as they are rolled out throughout the division.
