Peugeot & Renault Report Surging May Sales

Paris - Renault SA and PSA Peugeot Citroen reported the strongest domestic sales for the month of May in 10 years. Peugeot's new car sales rose 41.3% in that month to 58,021 units. Renault's sales jumped 33.7% to 59,228 units. Most other domestic and import manufacturers also reported very positive results in the French market for May. GM Europe saw sales surge 65.8%; BMW was up 63.7%; Korean brands were up almost 41%; and Japanese sales rose 39.7%. However, Ford Europe saw new car sales fall 6.9% in May. MJR
