Jaguar Cars Reports Continued Record Sales
MAHWAH, N.J., June 1 Jaguar Cars announced today record
sales results for May. United States retails totaled 4,012 cars, up
25 percent compared with May 1999. Year-to-date sales increased 97.5 percent
compared with the same period last year.
Jaguar S-TYPE retails in May totaled 2,384, up nearly 66 percent compared
with the same month last year when the model was introduced. Jaguar XJ Series
sales totaled 1,001 cars. XK Series sports car sales totaled 627, up nearly
16 percent compared to May 1999.
Jaguar Canada sold 217 cars during the month, up nearly 20 percent
compared with the same month last year. Canadian year-to-date sales increased
more than 141 percent compared with the same period last year.
