AK Steel O&T Employees Eject USWA in AshlandMIDDLETOWN, June 1 Members of an office and technical bargaining unit at AK Steel's Ashland Works in Kentucky voted Wednesday to no longer be represented by the United Steelworkers of America. By a vote of 8 to 6, members of USWA Local 1865-2 voted to decertify the USWA bargaining unit in a National Labor Relations Board-supervised election. None of the votes was challenged. The employees, who work in various production scheduling and technical jobs, had been represented by the USWA since 1992.
