MetLife Unveils Enhanced Customer Convenience

31 May 2000

TEWKSBURY, MA - MetLife recently held a celebration at its Claim Office in Tewksbury to unveil the new look of its drive-thru claim facilities. These facilities were redesigned to make the claims process as comfortable as possible for customers. The company made improvements that enhance customer convenience, comfort, and professionalism including a new family-friendly customer waiting area. The company plans to use this facility as a design model and will have all 16 other claim offices refurbished by the middle of next year.

"We know that the claim appraisal process can sometimes be disconcerting so we wanted to give our customers first class comfort as they wait for their adjuster to review their automobile claim. This is just one example of what sets us apart from the competition. In many instances the customer will receive a check `on the spot' for their vehicle repairs. We do our best to make sure we deliver superior customer service at every customer contact," said Chris Cawley, Vice President of Customer Service and Chief Claims Officer.

Cawley was on hand for the grand re-opening ribbon cutting ceremony along with Customer Retention Vice President Marge Rody and other Home Office personnel from the MetLife Auto & Home headquarters in Warwick, RI.

The Tewksbury drive-in facility services over 200 customers a month and is open Monday through Saturday for customer convenience. As a thank you to the approximately 200 claim professionals who work at the site, the Home Office executive staff recognized them with a barbecue on the day of the grand re-opening.

Besides providing competitive prices and superior service, MetLife Auto & Home offers free educational materials with helpful consumer tips on auto and home safety and life's major events, as well as how to save money on your insurance. The free brochures are available by calling 1-800-MetLife.
