Not only did it get a new name and address, www.AMADirectlink.com, but the redesign paved the way for many new features and enhancements, including a streamlined Association membership and renewal process and an online gift shop. Highlights of the new features include: Improved membership renewal process: Now AMA members can renew their membership dynamically online. After members enter their AMA number and zip code on one simple screen, the next screen displays the current membership application with all of the members' information on file filling the form's fields. Members can then make the necessary changes right on the form, including a new address. When the renewal or new membership application process is complete, members receive a printable, personalized receipt page. Streamlined change of address form: Similar to the membership renewal process, members enter their AMA number and zip code and up comes another page with their current address. Members can then update the necessary information online and update their personal information immediately. Online gift shop, AMAgear.com: A new online gift shop, including a new name and address AMAgear.com, was launched in April where a variety of AMA and Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum products, as well as closeout items, are available. Users can shop with confidence thanks to a secure connection and a user-friendly "shopping-cart" environment. After secure orders are placed, users can print a receipt or choose to receive it via e-mail. The product line-up includes everything from membership pins to popular Motorhead products. New products will be added the gift shop frequently. Find an AMA club in your area: Finding one of the more than 800 AMA-chartered clubs to ride with is now easier than ever. The new Find an AMA Club database, available from the Go Ride and AMA Clubs sections, allows users to search for clubs by state or AMA District. Users will find the club's name, city and state, whether it's a road- or off-road riding club, contact phone number and e-mail, along with a website address, if available. "Not only is AMADirectlink.com entertaining and informative, but it's one of the Association's most-valued membership benefits," said Matt Ringlien, AMA webmaster, "and we're constantly striving to find ways to improve that value. These latest improvements examples of that ongoing commitment." To try these new features, or to get the latest news, information and racing results, log on to AMADirectlink.com every day. -30- The American Motorcyclist Association is a 260,000-member non-profit organization. Established in 1924, the Association's purpose is to pursue, protect and promote the interests of motorcyclists, while serving the needs of its members.
