TI Group Automotive Systems Honoured by General Motors As a 1999 Supplier of the YearWARREN, Mich., May 24 TI Group Automotive Systems, the world's leading fluid-carrying systems specialist, received the Supplier of The Year award from General Motors Corporation at a recent ceremony in Munich, Germany. The prestigious award, celebrating its eighth consecutive year, is given annually to GM's best global suppliers in recognition of their superior performance during the previous calendar year. "TI Group Automotive Systems is one of our best and brightest suppliers," said Harold R. Kutner, group vice president, Worldwide Purchasing and North American Production Control & Logistics, who hosted the event. "It is an honour to have them working with us. Their contributions to General Motors' overall success are immeasurable. We look upon the Supplier of the Year award as an important recognition of their value as an automotive industry supplier." Allan Welsh, chief executive of TI Group Automotive Systems, upon accepting the award added: "At TI Automotive, we pride ourselves on our ability to consistently deliver world-class service wherever we supply our global customers. Award winners are selected by a global team of executives from purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and logistics who base their dedication on supplier performance in Quality, Service, Technology and Price. This year, General Motors honoured 181 suppliers from 22 countries for their excellence throughout 1999. TI Group Automotive Systems is one of only 20 suppliers to win the award on five occasions. The previous four for its excellence in supply of fluid carrying systems and on this occasion for its fuel tank expertise.
