Collectible Concepts Enters into License Agreement with IMS Properties and Titan Motorcycle Company of America
DOYLESTOWN, Pa.--May 23, 2000--Known Sporting Event
Collectible Concepts Group, Inc. (OTC: CCGR) has acquired a license to manufacture and distribute a replica of the Indy 500(R) Titan Motorcycle, a limited edition motorcycle, manufactured by Titan Motorcycle Company of America based in Phoenix, Arizona, that will be sold in connection with the upcoming motorcar race.
Collectible Concepts chairman and chief executive officer Paul Lipschutz said the agreement offers the company several attractive features. "First, Titan will continue to manufacture other collectible motorcycles, and these new bikes represent attractive licensing opportunities for us. Second, Titan's network of more than 80 domestic and international dealers, which will carry our Titan 500 replica, offer a viable source of immediate distribution. And finally, we believe that we will enjoy the support of the many retail outlets which already do a substantial business in Indy 500(R) licensed products."
Collectible Concepts national sales manager Peter Brown said he felt the running of the 84th Indianapolis 500 race on May 28 - one of the most widely recognized and watched sporting events of the year - will increase consumer interest in the Titan 500 replica. "We believe that the Indy 500(R) race will deliver the kind of consumer awareness that money cannot buy."
In addition to traditional retail outlets, the Titan 500 will be marketed on the website www.collectmotorcycles.com which was developed and will be maintained by Collectible Concepts Group.
