                               Consecutive Year

BROOMFIELD, Colo., May 22 Corporate Express, A Buhrmann
Company, has been named a General Motors Supplier of the Year for 1999. The
prestigious award is given annually to GM's best global suppliers in
recognition of their superior performance in quality, service, technology and
price during the previous calendar year. Corporate Express also won the GM
Supplier of the Year for 1998.
"The GM Supplier of the Year award is one of the most prestigious awards
in the automotive industry, and we are very proud to receive it. It has even
more significance to Corporate Express because we have won the award for the
past two years," said Robert King, President and CEO of Corporate Express.
"Our relationship and experience with GM is an exemplary model of the value
and cost savings that companies can find by consolidating suppliers of non-
production goods and services."
"Corporate Express is one of our best and brightest suppliers," said
Harold R. Kutner, Group Vice President, Worldwide Purchasing and North
American Production Control & Logistics for GM. "It is an honor to have them
working with us. Corporate Express' contributions to General Motors' overall
success are immeasurable. We look upon the Supplier of the Year award as an
important recognition of Corporate Express' value as an automotive industry
supplier."
The GM Supplier of the Year award began as a global program in 1992.
Award-winners are selected by a global team of executives from purchasing,
engineering, manufacturing and logistics who base their decisions on supplier
performance in quality, service, technology and price. This year, General
Motors honored 181 suppliers from 22 countries for their excellence in 1999.
"General Motors is a company that values innovative procurement solutions
and Corporate Express specializes in designing and delivering those
solutions," said King. "This award is attributable to the outstanding service
provided by our employees in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, Novi and Warren, Michigan,
Nashville, Tennessee, Whippany, New Jersey and Corporate Express Australia,
and I'd like to recognize and congratulate them for this achievement."
In addition to winning the 1999 and 1998 GM Supplier of the Year Award,
Corporate Express has a history of providing cost savings and innovative
procurement solutions for General Motors and Saturn Corporation, a division of
GM based in Spring Hill, Tenn. Since 1996, Corporate Express has been a
