LONDON, ON - Stock car veteran Dave Jacombs, of Mt. Hope, ON was the quickest of the 27 CASCAR Castrol Super Series racers who smashed the existing Delaware Speedway Park 'Super Series' lap record on Saturday evening. The achievement earned Jacombs the pole - the first of his career - for Sunday's season opening Mopar Parts 250 at the London, ON area half-mile oval. Jacombs, driving his Speedy Auto Service Ford Taurus, posted a lap of 19.343 seconds during time trials, which was well under the former mark of 20.195.
