LONDON, ON - Stock car veteran Dave Jacombs, of Mt. Hope, ON was the quickest

Speedway Park 'Super Series' lap record on Saturday evening. The achievement

Mopar Parts 250 at the London, ON area half-mile oval.
Jacombs, driving his Speedy Auto Service Ford Taurus, posted a lap of
19.343 seconds during time trials, which was well under the former mark of

last May. Jacombs will front a field of 38 CASCAR Castrol Late Model
competitors - including those from as far away as Quebec and Alberta - who will
take the green flag Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.

flags went to Scott Steckly, Neil Fair, Brad Jacques and Ron Beauchamp. Neil
Fair's victory in last year's Mopar Parts 250 was the first of his career.Al
Long held off Kelly Williams to win the Final Qualifiers' race.
