John Passante Appointed Senior Director, Human Resources, Aftermarket OperationsTROY, Mich. - Delphi Automotive Systems on Friday announced the appointment of John Passante as senior director, human resources, Delphi Aftermarket Operations. Francisco A. (Frank) Ordonez, Delphi's general manager, Aftermarket Operations, made the announcement. Passante comes to Delphi from General Parts, Inc., the lead distributor and founder of CarQuest, where he was senior vice president, human resources. At Delphi, he will be responsible for worldwide human resources activities at Delphi Aftermarket Operations. "Our ability to attract and retain the very best people we can is critical to our long-term success," said Ordonez. "John Passante has demonstrated the kind of management qualities necessary to maintain a strong position in the marketplace. Through his ongoing leadership, we'll achieve the results we need." Passante's administrative and human resources experience spans a variety of organizations, including Monroe Auto Equipment, a shock absorber manufacturer; Breed Technologies, a $1 billion designer, manufacturer and distributor of electronic sensors and air bags; and Moog Automotive, of St. Louis, Mo. Passante earned both a bachelor's degree in industrial relations and an MBA from Indiana Northern University Graduate School.
