Isuzu to Award 2000 Isuzu Amigo to Winner of Ironman California

American Isuzu Motors Inc. to Award New 2000 Isuzu Amigo to Winner of Isuzu Ironman California Triathlon Marine Tug of War Competition

    OCEANSIDE, Calif., May 19 American Isuzu Motors Inc.
(AIMI), announced today that the company was awarding a new 2000 Isuzu Amigo
SUV to a member of the U.S. Marines.  The winner of the new 2000 Amigo will be
decided in a tug of war competition on May 19-20.  The event is being held in
support of the Isuzu Ironman California Triathlon and to thank the U.S.
Marines for hosting the triathlon at Camp Pendelton, California.
    The first round of eliminations are scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. and
continue to 2:00 p.m. on Friday.  The semi-final and final rounds take place
on Saturday beginning at 9:15 a.m.  All the units based at Camp Pendelton are
invited to compete in the "Isuzu Marine Tug Of War."
    The AIMI "Marine Tug Of War Competition" has one final twist after the
champion unit pulls their competition across the line.  Since AIMI has only
one model-year 2000 Isuzu Amigo to donate to this cause, the champion unit
must decide between themselves which Marine will drive away in the new Isuzu
SUV.
