Honda Dealerships Nationwide Host Child Safety Awareness Day
           - 400 Dealerships Participating in Third Annual Event -

    WHAT:      American Honda Motor Co., Inc. and more than 400 Honda dealers
               nationwide are hosting the company's third annual Child Safety
               Awareness Day.

               More than 1 million children are killed or injured annually in
               preventable traffic, household and recreational accidents.  In
               the hopes of reducing these numbers, Honda's Child Safety
               Awareness Day offers families valuable information and hands-on
               instruction on a variety of issues including vehicle and
               traffic safety, methods of monitoring their child's Internet
               usage, and protecting them from sport and recreational
               injuries.  Families will also receive important tips on how
               to prevent child abduction.
