Collins & Aikman Names Zielinski Director of Corporate Communications

    TROY, Mich., May 18 /PR Newswire/ -- Collins & Aikman Corporation
today announced the appointment of Luce Ann Zielinski as Director
of Corporate Communications.
    As Director of Corporate Communications, Zielinski will work extensively
with the media and provide direction to Collins & Airman's leadership team to
develop strategies that further enhance the Company's image with its
employees, customers and investors.   Additionally, Zielinski will play a
leading role in continuing the development of Collins & Airman's web site as
well as developing an "intranet" site for its employees.
    Zielinski earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration
from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, MI.  Prior to joining
Collins & Aikman, Zielinski was responsible for implementing communication
plans for Delphi Energy & Chassis Systems.
