Irwindale, Calif. . - - Quick! Want to save $5.00 off a regular adult admission at any Irwindale Speedway racing event this season? How about a nice, round 10% discount on all souvenir merchandise at the Speedway's gift shops? OK … Just take out your Auto Club Card and reap more benefits of your membership. "Show Your Card and Save", the Automobile Club of Southern California's special savings program for its members, is now in officially in effect at Irwindale Speedway. "And it really is as easy as showing your Auto Club card when you purchase your tickets or buy souvenir items at Irwindale. There's nothing to fill out, just show us your card and we'll do the rest," said Bob DeFazio the track's General Manager. "We're very pleased to be joining an exclusive list of sporting venues and retailers who've been selected by Auto Club to be a part of this program. Auto Club members are exactly the kind of people that we want frequenting the Speedway." Irwindale Speedway already enjoys a long-term working arrangement with the Automobile Club of Southern California. "From opening night in 1999, the Auto Club has had a roadside assistance unit on duty at each and every event at the Speedway," said the Auto Club's Motorsports and Events Manager Rick Lalor, "We are there to help from the time that the main gates open until the last car has left the parking lot, every event night." The service, which can help Speedway guests with lock-outs, dead batteries, flat tires, and many other minor and major automobile problems, is available to everyone entering the grounds of Irwindale Speedway, not just to Auto Club members. "It's been a great added benefit for our guests, it gives them peace of mind when they park here at the track," said DeFazio. I can't tell you how many of our guests have told us how much they appreciate Auto Club being here and ready to help with any car problems." Tickets for the all Irwindale Speedway events are now available 24 hours a day seven days a week via the world-wide web at Tickets.com. They may also be purchased by phone at (626) 358-1100, or in person at the track box office during regular business hours Tuesday - Saturday. The Speedway is located at 13300 E. Live Oak Avenue directly off the 605 freeway between the 10 and the 210.
