XRD Corporation Opens Research & Development Facility
BEAUFORT, S.C.--May 17, 2000--XRDi has been organized to become the leading provider of engine technology solutions for environmentally efficient lightweight power plants.Research facility operations opened this April in Beaufort, South Carolina. XRDi pioneers core technologies which enable traditional gasoline engines to burn multiple fuels (i.e. diesel, kerosene, jet-A, JP5, JP8, and other fuels) in low compression, spark-ignited engines with very low emissions and reduced fuel consumption levels. XRDi's team, along with their prominent Technical Advisory Board members, will partner with top industry leaders worldwide working collaboratively to address the future of engine design. Providing technology that addresses current legislative and environmental issues concerning fuel consumption, efficiency, and pollution will be XRDi's primary focus.
XRDi will establish corporate headquarters in the Washington D.C. metro area. Senior management include Ted Achilles - CEO/President, Andy Allen - Chief Technology Officer, Howard Ferren - Chief Operating Officer, and Dyan Ferren - Human Resource Manager.
XRD's first Technical Advisory Board meeting was held April 28 in Dulles, VA.
