Hayes Lemmerz International Strengthens Customer Focus with Newly Formed North American Wheels Group Sales and Marketing Team
    NORTHVILLE, Mich., May 16 Hayes Lemmerz International,
Inc. , today announced that it has combined its sales and marketing
forces into a newly created North American Wheels Group Sales and Marketing
team, in a move to maximize the synergy between the Company's North American
Fabricated and Cast Wheels Business Units.
    Commenting on the announcement, Ronald Kolakowski, President of Hayes
Lemmerz' North American Wheels Group said, "A combined sales and marketing
team enables a closer collaborative relationship with our OEM customers and
deepens our understanding of their business needs."  He added, "In addition,
it will improve our ability to capitalize on market opportunities in North
America.  We have long recognized the complementary nature of these businesses
and the advantages inherent in a single sales and marketing force."
    In concert with the announcement, Richard Miller has been promoted to the
newly created position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the North
American Wheels Group.  Miller will report directly to Kolakowski.
    In his new role, Miller is responsible for leading the Group's strategic
marketing and sales initiatives, assessing and developing new business
opportunities and providing leadership to the sales and marketing team.
Miller formerly served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Hayes Lemmerz
North American Fabricated Wheels Business Unit.
    Reporting to Miller are the following sales directors of Hayes Lemmerz'
North American OEM customer accounts: Jerry Halmos, General Motors; Jeffrey
Beam, DaimlerChrysler; Stewart Prince, Ford Motor; and Vito Gasic, who is
responsible for all other N.A. Manufacturer accounts including Honda,
Mercedes, Toyota, Nissan, Isuzu, Daihatsu, Mitsubishi and BMW.
