US Fuel Cell Council Growing Rapidly
WASHINGTON, May 15 The US Fuel Cell Council (USFCC) has
added eight new member companies to its roster. Formed in 1998, with 14
original members, the Council now boasts 47 member companies. As the trade
association for the fuel cell industry, the Council membership includes
virtually all the major developers of fuel cell technology, key industry
suppliers, and potential customers.
At its annual meeting in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, May 3rd and
Thursday, May 4th, the Council's Board of Directors approved its latest
members and elected officers for the year.
"Interest in the emerging fuel cell market is driven by the technological
leadership of our members," said Peter Ciampa of Delphi Automotive Systems,
newly elected President of the USFCC Board of Directors. "Mirroring the
diversity and dynamism of the fuel cell industry, Council members are
developing several different fuel cell technologies while targeting
stationary, transportation and portable power markets. The Council is leading
the charge to break down any remaining barriers to market introduction and is
providing a voice for this burgeoning industry."

Micro Generation of Latham, New York; Methanex Corporation of Vancouver,
Canada; Enable Fuel Cell Corp. (a subsidiary of DCH Technology) of Valencia,
