Budget Group Announces Grand Opening of Reservation Call CentersLISLE, Ill., May 11 Budget Group, Inc. , which owns Budget Rent a Car Corporation and Ryder TRS, announced today the grand opening of its new reservation call centers in Lemoore, California, and Wichita Falls, Texas. The new facilities are part of Budget Group's "enterprise virtual call centers" using state-of-the-art technology. At the two call centers combined, the company currently employs a staff of more than 550, including 500 reservation agents and 54 management and support personnel. "The success of the call centers has exceeded the company's expectations, with reservation call volume, agent sales performance and service levels surpassing our original projections," stated Mary Murcott, vice president of Worldwide Reservations Services for Budget Group, Inc. "With strong management teams in place and a solid group of trained reservation agents, we anticipate continued growth and success at the Lemoore and Wichita Falls call centers." Establishing these new call centers was necessary to meet the continued growth of Budget Group's car and truck rental business. Call volume is expected to continue to grow due to increased car and truck rental advertising and enhanced programs with new and existing travel partners. In addition to these two new call centers, the company has other major reservation call centers in Carrollton, Texas; Tampa; and Toronto.
