Kurt Kavajecz Appointed DaimlerChrysler Plant Manager
    AUBURN HILLS, Mich., May 10 Effective immediately, Kurt
Kavajecz is appointed Plant Manager - Belvidere Assembly Plant, reporting to
Richard S. Entenmann, Vice President & General Manager - Large & Small Car &
Minivan Assembly Operations.  In this position Kavajecz will be responsible
for total operations of Neon production at Belvidere.
    "Kurt comes to us with excellent work experience from Ford Motor Company,
and we are very pleased to have him in the top job at Belvidere," said Gary L.
Henson, Executive Vice President - Manufacturing.
    At Ford, Kavajecz was an Assistant Plant Manager responsible for body,
paint and final assembly as well as materials, new model launch, government
regulatory coordination and manufacturing planning.  During his tenure at
Ford, Kavajecz was also Final Area Manager and Body Area Manager.  Before
joining Ford, Kavajecz was a Branch Manager and Senior Engineer at Diamond
Star Motors.  He began his career at GM as an engineer.
