Reynolds and Reynolds Board Elects Eustace W. Mita as New Director

    DAYTON, Ohio--May 9, 2000--The board of directors of The Reynolds and Reynolds Company today elected as a director of the company, Eustace W. Mita (44), general manager, Reynolds' Transformation Services.
    Mita, whose term expires in 2001 fills a vacancy created in February when Richard H. Grant Jr. (87) announced his retirement.
    Mita joined HAC Group LLC, the world's leading provider of learning, customer relationship management and Web services to automotive retailers and manufacturers in 1990. Reynolds acquired HAC in April 2000. Prior to joining HAC, Mita was the founder of Mita Leasing, a top 10 leasing company in the United States. Before founding Mita Leasing, he was an executive with the Penske Corporation.
    Mita also serves as a director of United Auto Group and first Republic Bank
