Standard Automotive Corporation Announces Two Key Appointments

STANDARD AUTOMOTIVE CORPORATION (AMEX:AJX, AJX.PR) ("Standard") today announced the appointments of James G. Reindl Chief Executive Officer of Standard's Critical Components Division and John F. Silane as Executive Vice President/ Operations for Standard Automotive Corporation.
Jim Reindl joins Critical Components after spending six years in aviation consulting. Mr. Reindl's prior experience includes four years as President and CEO of Aerotech Jet Services, Inc., a corporate jet completion, modification and heavy maintenance company. Mr. Reindl's earlier career includes five years of engineering, design and project management with Urban Engineers, Inc. Mr. Reindl holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware.
Prior to joining Standard, Mr. Silane was Senior Account Manager at the Depository Trust Company, responsible for several tier-one investment banking and brokerage firm relationships. From 1988 through 1998 Mr. Silane served as Vice President of Institutional Securities Services at Citibank N.A. and First Chicago NBD. Mr. Silane also spent seven years at Union Carbide Corporation in Internal Audits and as Manager of Headquarters Accounting. Mr. Silane also served as auditor at Price Waterhouse. Mr. Silane holds B.S. degrees from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Finance and Accounting.
