TI Group Automotive Systems Wins Ford Pickup Contract
    WARREN, Mich., May 9 TI Group Automotive Systems has won a
multi-million-dollar contract to supply fuel- and brake-line systems for Ford
subcompact pickup trucks produced in North America.
    The contract includes brake lines, fuel lines and quick connectors.  The
components will be produced at TI Group's Hebron (Ohio) manufacturing
facilities.
    TI Group Automotive Systems employs more than 20,000 people at 150
facilities in 29 countries, including 9,000 people at 52 facilities in North
America.  It was formed after the acquisition of Walbro Corporation by TI
Group last year and combines Walbro with TI Group's Bundy business to provide
fluid storage and delivery systems for the automotive, refrigeration and
power tool industries.
    Jim Davis, president of TI Group Automotive Systems in North America,
noted that TI Automotive is committed to providing high levels of customer
service on a global basis and is proud of the fact that Ford has recognized TI
Group as a full service supplier.
