SDRC Expands Systems Engineering Initiatives in Europe
CINCINNATI--May 9, 2000--B.V. and M.I.S. Organisatie-Ingenieurs B.V. for Expanded Services
Focused on SDRC's SLATE(TM) Software Offerings
SDRC , a global supplier of e-business collaboration solutions for the product lifecycle, today announced partnerships with Aircraft Development & Systems Engineering B.V. (A.D.S.E.) of Hoofddorp, the Netherlands and M.I.S. Organisatie-Ingenieurs B.V. (M.I.S.) of Maarssen, the Netherlands, to expand its systems engineering consulting offerings in Europe. Both A.D.S.E. and M.I.S. will offer consulting expertise for integrating SDRC's SLATE(TM) products, solutions, and methodologies for their respective customers.
"SDRC continues to forge new partnerships that offer manufacturers worldwide greater access to solutions that will improve their product development processes," said Bill Weyand, chairman, president, and CEO of SDRC. "By partnering with industry leaders A.D.S.E. and M.I.S., SDRC has much greater ability to reach our customers in Europe with our e-business collaborative solutions. SLATE offers proven capabilities for capturing and managing requirements for complex systems, shortening time-to-market and reducing product costs -- all benefits that are critical to our customers in gaining and maintaining market leadership. We're looking forward to establishing very close working relationships with both of these partners, and to expanding support for our European customers."
"A.D.S.E. serves many clients in the aerospace industry," said Erwin Duurland, A.D.S.E. "With our extensive background and experience in this industry, coupled with the availability of SDRC's SLATE software, we are confident that our customers will have a solution that supports a team approach to system design."
"M.I.S. is dedicated to enabling our customers to be prepared for the challenges of expanding e-business initiatives," said Dick Mandemaker, managing director of M.I.S. "By helping them employ leading technologies, such as SLATE, we expect to see them delivering better quality products to market at a quicker pace. Even more importantly, though, we expect them to be delivering products that more closely align with customer needs."
Utilizing a patented interrelationship database engine, SLATE is computer-aided groupware that provides organizations the ability to leverage product knowledge generated from the backend of the development process -- manufacturing and support -- to the front-end where issues can be most effectively resolved. This gives collaborative teams the ability to carry "lessons" across project and organizational boundaries and to bring innovative products more quickly to market.
