CTS Wireless Components Strategic Business Group Completes Business Unit Structure and Names James A. Hart Vice President and General Manager, CTS RF Crystal and Oscillator Products
SCHAUMBURG, Ill.--May 4, 2000--Philip G. Semprevio, Executive Vice President, CTS Corporation, today announced that the CTS Wireless Components Business Group has completed the structuring of the group into four individual strategic business units with names that will closely define each business unit's products. The four individual business units that now comprise the CTS Wireless Group are: CTS RF Integrated Modules (announced December 21, 1999 -- www.ctscorp.com -- Press Releases); CTS RF Crystal and Oscillator Products; CTS RF Ceramic and SAW Filter Products; and CTS Piezoelectric Products.In addition, Semprevio, who has operating responsibility for the CTS Wireless Components Group, announced that James A. Hart has been named Vice President and General Manager of the RF Crystal and Oscillator Products business unit. Hart comes to CTS with over 15 years of engineering, manufacturing and general management experience within the electronics industry, including Vishay, Sprague/Vitramon, Dale, Square D and Westinghouse. He earned his B.S. degree in Industrial and Mechanical Engineering at North Carolina State University and his M.B.A. at Western Carolina University. In his new position with CTS, Hart will be responsible for CTS' RF Crystal and Oscillator operations in Schaumburg, Illinois; Chung-Li, Taiwan; Tianjin, China; and future expansion in Singapore.
He began his business career in 1974 with AKZO North America where he served in several engineering positions. In 1978, he accepted the position of Manufacturing Engineer with Westinghouse where he steadily progressed to the position of General Manager. In 1991, Hart joined Square D/Groupe Schneider as Operations Manager; in 1993 was promoted to Vice President, Operations (Schneider, Mexico); and, in 1994, was named Vice President, Component Operations. From 1995, until accepting the World Wide Operations Manager position with Ingersoll-Rand, Hart held senior managerial positions with several divisions of Vishay Intertechnology, including Vice President & General Manager-Dale; Vice President & General Manager-Sprague/Vitramon; Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing and Executive Vice President -- both with the Capacitor Group of Vishay.
Mr. Hart will be relocating to the Chicago area in the near future.
