Johnson Controls Earns Service Award from Interstate Battery Systems of America

Leading automotive supplier's
battery business honored with service award

    PLYMOUTH, Mich., May 3 Johnson Controls, Inc. (NYSE: JCI)
has earned a service award from Interstate Battery System of America, Inc.
(IBSA) for the high-quality automotive batteries the company supplies.
Since the recognition program began in 1990, this is the eighth year that
Johnson Controls has received the award. The service award was recently
presented to the company at an IBSA convention held in Nashville.

recognizes our efforts to supply high-quality automotive batteries," said Ron
Weller, vice president of operations for the Johnson Controls battery
business. "This award is a tribute to our employees' commitment to not only
