Jaguar Cars Reports Record April Sales
MAHWAH, N.J., May 2 Jaguar Cars announced record April
sales results. United States retails totaled 4,024 cars, up more than 90
percent compared with the same month last year.
Jaguar S-TYPE retails in April were 2,323 and XJ Series sales totaled
1,086. XK Series sports car sales of 615 were up 17 percent compared to April
1999.
"We are off to our best year ever, with sales up 135 percent compared to
last year," said Mike O'Driscoll, president of Jaguar North America. "The
S-TYPE has captured the imagination of consumers, and demand for all our
models remains very strong."
Jaguar Canada sold 268 cars during the month, surpassing the same period
last year by 155 percent.
