Porsche Reports April U.S. Sales; April Sales Up by 28 Percent

    ATLANTA, May 2 Porsche Cars North America, importer and
distributor of Porsche sports cars in the United States, today announced sales
and stock figures for the month of April, 2000. Retail sales for the month
totaled 2076 cars, an increase of 28 percent over April, 1999.  Year-to-date
sales are up by 14 percent over 1999.  Though the addition of the Boxster S
accounts for some of the change, demand continues to be strong throughout the
Porsche model range.
