Caliber Collision Centers Expands Acquisition Team

    IRVINE, Calif.--May 1, 2000--Caliber Collision Centers appointed John Walcher to Director of Corporate Development to manage acquisitions for the Irvine-based operator of high-quality collision repair facilities.
    Walcher brings to Caliber Collision Centers 13 years of professional experience, primarily in mergers and acquisitions. Prior to Caliber Collision Centers, Walcher managed the corporate development efforts of a Tyco International subsidiary.
    At Caliber Collision Centers, which has added 17 new locations in the last 12 months, Walcher's role will be to direct the execution of collision repair facility acquisitions that meet the needs of insurance providers and vehicle owners. Walcher will focus on both acquisitions and newly constructed locations.
    "John is an important addition to the Caliber team and our plans to expand," said Ed Medvic, vice president of Corporate Development of Caliber Collision Centers. "He will play an integral part in our expansion and enhance our ability to provide differentiated services to our insurance partners."
    Walcher earned a B.S. degree in economics from the University of California-Riverside and obtained his M.S. degree in finance from the London Business School. He resides in Laguna Hills with his wife, Dawn, and their three children, Caleb, Luke and Hannah.
    Founded in 1991, with headquarters in Irvine, Caliber Collision Centers operates high-quality collision repair facilities in California and Texas.
