Subaru Announces April Sales Figures; Best April Total Sales Month Since 1986CHERRY HILL, N.J., May 1 Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) today announced its April sales figures. Subaru recorded a sales total of 12,684 units for the month, up 3 percent over April 1999 sales. Year-to-date totals of 53,361 units are up 14 percent over 1999 year-to-date totals (46,892 units). This marks the company's best April total sales month in 14 years. The Legacy model line led sales with 6,516 units posted, slightly up over 1999 April Legacy sales of 6,508 units. Outback accounted for 4,393 units for the month. Forester posted 4,552 units in April 2000, up 3 percent versus the same period last year. About Subaru of America, Inc.
