27 April 2000

Lund International Holdings, Inc. Anoka, Minnesota, Announces That Fiberglass Production Will be Outsourced
ANOKA, Minn., April 26 Lund International Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: LUND) announced today that as
part of its restructuring plan it will outsource the fiberglass production at
its Anoka, Minn. facility. The Anoka facility manufactures fiberglass
products for the light truck automotive accessory aftermarket. The Anoka
facility will continue to be the headquarters for the Light Truck Division,
including the sales, marketing, administrative and engineering functions for
that Division. Lund will continue to use the Anoka facility as a distribution
center and to perform light packaging and assembly operations.
The Company anticipates phasing out production over the next six-months
with completion expected no later than November. Outsourcing this production
will impact approximately 70 hourly employees. There are currently 220
employees at the Anoka facility. The Company anticipates taking
$500,000-$700,000 of restructuring charges primarily during the second and
third quarters related to outsourcing its fiberglass production.
During the third and fourth quarters of 1999, Lund relocated all of its
plastic manufacturing operations from Anoka to its facility in Lawrenceville,
Ga. The Company had previously announced it would relocate its Suspension
Division from Coldwater, Mich. to its Corona, Calif. manufacturing facility.
This move is still expected to take place in the third quarter of 2000.

"The outsourcing of fiberglass production is an important part of the overall
plan to restructure the Company's operations to increase efficiencies, reduce
manufacturing costs and focus on those products with the most growth
potential."
In a separate statement today, the Company announced its first quarter
2000 financial results. The details of this announcement are available in
that release and should be read in conjunction with this notification.
