Volvo's Best Technicians Receive Acclaim
ROCKLEIGH, N.J., April 26 Eighteen North American Volvo
master technicians earned the prestigious international VISTA award earlier
this month. The eighteen winners represent the top 3/4 percent of all
registered Volvo technicians in North America.
Participants competed in written tests and increasingly difficult
hands-on technical challenges. The tests took place over a twelve-month
period and are taken by over 2000 technicians throughout the US and
Canada. In total, 34 countries around the world participate in the VISTA
competition.
"Technicians play a crucial role in the Volvo customer experience,"
explains Paul Welander, Vice President of Aftersales and Technical
Support. "The VISTA competition offers us the opportunity to recognize
and congratulate the most qualified ones in a memorable way."
Winners from around the world meet at Volvo headquarters in Gothenburg,
Sweden from May 20-27 at the VISTA Winners' Conference, the highest honor
Volvo technicians can earn. During this conference, the winners will be
presented with awards, special tours and the coveted opportunity to drive on
Volvo's test track typically used to test new models before they are made
available to the public.
High levels of participation from North American technicians allowed
VCNA to select a record eighteen winners, compared with fourteen in
previous years.
