Nickel Named Vice President Strategy and E-Business Development For Textron Fastening Systems    
    TROY, Mich., April 25 Edwin (Kip) Nickel has been named
vice president strategy and e-business development for Textron Fastening
Systems.

    Nickel, 42, will guide the development of strategy and provide leadership
for the e-business initiatives within the group.
    "Kip's global experience and multi-industry background will certainly
enhance our operations.  His results-oriented leadership style will help
leverage our strengths across all of our businesses," said Textron Fastening
Systems chairman, president, and chief executive officer Jack Sights.
    Prior to Textron, Nickel served in various positions of increasing
responsibilities at GE Plastics.  His most recent assignment was director,
European commercial operations in the Netherlands.  Prior to that he held
senior management positions in the areas of sales, marketing, product general
management, and customer productivity.
