PACCAR Announces Dividend

    BELLEVUE, Wash.--April 25, 2000--PACCAR Inc's (Nasdaq:PCAR) board of directors today declared a second quarter cash dividend in the amount of thirty cents ($.30) per share, payable on June 5, 2000 to stockholders of record at the close of business on May 18, 2000, according to Mark C. Pigott, PACCAR chairman and chief executive officer.
    "PACCAR is a leader in the automotive industry in terms of financial performance and has generated profits for over 60 consecutive years with dividends paid every year since 1941. PACCAR has increased its regular quarterly dividend by 140 percent in the last five years," Pigott said.
    PACCAR, an $8.6 billion company, is a global technology leader in the design, manufacture and customer support of high quality light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF and Foden nameplates. It also provides financial services and distributes truck parts related to its principal business. In addition, the Bellevue, Washington-based company manufactures industrial winches under the Braden, Gearmatic and Carco nameplates.
