DaimlerChrysler Corporation Appoints Eric Ridenour, Vice President - Product PlanningAUBURN HILLS, Mich., April 25 DaimlerChrysler Corporation has announced the appointment of Eric Ridenour as Vice President - Product Planning, effective immediately. Ridenour reports to Thomas C. Gale, Executive Vice President - Product Development, Design and General Manager - Passenger Car Operations. In this position, Ridenour, 41, is responsible for directing all product planning and product strategy activities for the Chrysler group and will also provide support to strategic business development initiatives. "Eric's extensive experience in the product development area will help us clearly define the direction for the Chrysler group's product line in the future," said Gale. "We're pleased to have Eric as part of the product development organization." Ridenour joined DaimlerChrysler in 1986 in program management. Since that time, he has held increasingly responsible positions in Product Development, including Product Strategy and Cycle Planning, and Power Train Planning. Most recently, Ridenour was Director - Advance Vehicle Engineering. Ridenour holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a master's degree in Business Administration both from the University of Michigan.
