NASCAR: Woodside Hopes to Continue Building Momentum

26 April 2000

April 26, 2000 (Palmdale, CA) - Now that he's had a taste of success in
NASCAR's Featherlite Southwest Series, Sean Woodside, the reigning 1999
NASCAR Winston West champion, sees this Saturday's Foods 4 Less 100 at
Irwindale Speedway as an opportunity to build momentum in a series that
is still relatively new to him.

Woodside recently notched both his and REF Motorsport's first-ever Southwest
Series win at Mesa Marin Raceway in Bakersfield, Calif. in just his second
race with the team. The win gave a clear indication as to how well the
new team is working together, and, hopefully, how well it will perform
for the rest of the season.

"We feel good about our chances at Irwindale, especially coming off of
our first win," quipped Woodside. "We're ready for another good race.
I've been running at Irwindale in their weekly program, clicking off laps
and trying to get an advantage to prepare for this race."

In his "spare" time, Woodside fields a super late model effort in Irwindale
Speedway's Saturday night program.

The REF team also has some good experience from which to draw. The team
collected one of its six top-five finishes in 1999 at Irwindale.

Team owner Bob Farmer said, "It was great winning at Mesa Marin, and we'll
be looking for more of the same this weekend at Irwindale. We're actively
marketing the team to prospective sponsors for this season and next. Performance
matters, and we're giving it everything we've got."
