Thrifty Car Rental Sweepstakes to Award PT Cruiser, $10,000 Cash and ASTA Trip To Winning Agent

    TULSA, Okla., April 24 Thrifty Car Rental wants travel
agents to have a PT or "Perfectly Thrifty" summer, so is going to award one
lucky sweepstakes winner with:

    -- A 2001 PT Cruiser, Chrysler's hot-selling car/truck hybrid;
    -- $10,000 cash; and
    -- A trip to ASTA World Congress Sept. 25-28, 2000, in Las Vegas.

    The sweepstakes, beginning May 8, is open only to U.S. travel agents, and
is eligible only on bookings made for travel in the U.S.
    To enter the contest, eligible agents can earn an entry with every Thrifty
Car Rental reservation made between May 8 and Aug. 1, 2000 that results in a
completed rental by Aug. 15, 2000.  All bookings must be made through the GDS
or 1-800-THRIFTY(SM) to be eligible, indicating the word "CAR" and identified
with the agent's three initials in the SI Field.  (Example:  /SI-AG-XXX-CAR).
    No purchase is necessary to enter.  The winner will be selected at random
from all entries, and the Grand Prize will be awarded at ASTA World Congress
in Las Vegas.  Other limitations and conditions may apply.  For additional

    "Travel agents have always worked hard to ensure Thrifty has a good
summer, so we're returning the favor this year," said Scarlete Pelfrey,

hottest cars around, and has been difficult for consumers to find.  But we're
going to make sure one lucky travel agent drives away from the ASTA Congress
in it, along with $10,000 in cash."
    The ASTA trip will include round-trip coach air transportation for one,
three nights in a major hotel and the convention registration fee.

line by checking out the travel agent section of the Thrifty Car Rental web
site at http://www.thrifty.com.
