DaimlerChrysler Corporation Reports U.S. and Canadian Assembly Plant Schedule for Week of April 24, 2000

    AUBURN HILLS, Mich., April 20 DaimlerChrysler Corporation
reports all nine U.S. assembly plants and all three Canadian assembly plants
will operate the week of April 24, 2000.  Monday, April 24 is a corporate
holiday, therefore there will be no production that day, nor Saturday, April
22.
    Belvidere (IL.), Newark (DE), St. Louis-North (Fenton, MO) and Toledo (OH)
will operate two eight-hour shifts weekdays.  Conner Ave. (MI), will operate
one eight-hour shift weekdays.  Sterling Heights (MI) will operate two nine-
hour shifts weekdays.  Dodge City Complex-Warren Truck (MI) and St. Louis-
South (Fenton, MO) will operate two nine-hour shifts weekdays.  Jefferson-
North (Detroit, MI) will operate three seven-and-a-half-hour shifts weekdays.
    In Ontario, Canada, Bramalea and Windsor will operate three seven-and-a-
half-hour shifts weekdays.  Pillette will operate two eight-hour shifts
weekdays.
