DriveOff.com President to Keynote eAuto 2000 Conference in San Francisco

20 April 2000

DriveOff.com President to Keynote eAuto 2000 Conference in San Francisco; Michael Kranitz to Address the Future of Automotive E-Commerce
DENVER, April 20 Automotive e-commerce company,
DriveOff.com, today announced that the company's president, Michael Kranitz,
will deliver the keynote address at next week's eAuto 2000 conference in San
Francisco. Kranitz's presentation will headline the conference featuring
presentations by additional industry leaders including e-GM, Ford Motor
Company and America Online.
"The amount of competition in this market has caused immense confusion
within the automotive industry," said Michael Kranitz, president of
DriveOff.com. "eAuto 2000 will clarify how the Internet can enhance the
buying process and provide value for consumers, dealers and the industry as a
whole."
Jupiter Communications projects that Web sites will generate 62 thousand
vehicle transactions this year and be responsible for more than 1.3 million
transactions in 2004. Given this growth, dealers, manufacturers, financial
institutions and collateral industries are searching for the partnerships and
technology that will help them thrive.
"Over the past few years, dealers and consumers have been bombarded with
scores of Internet companies claiming to bring vehicle sales into the Internet
age," said Kranitz. "These services have been met with varying degrees of
resistance from the automotive industry and consumers. Only those companies
that can effectively integrate Internet technology and the existing
infrastructure will succeed."
eAuto 2000 will educate automotive executives on how to use the Internet
to turn their online businesses into profit centers. Kranitz's presentation
will identify automotive industry trends and how dealers, manufacturers and
financial institutions can succeed online.
The conference will take place at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco on
April 27 and 28. Attendees can register by calling 800.882.8684 or visiting
