Chuck Halper Named Vice President of Service

    FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., April 18 Chuck Halper has been
named Vice President of Service for Hyundai Motor America.  He had previously
served as director of service.  In this position, Halper guides HMA's service
operations, technical training, technical support, warranty, service
contracts, customer surveys, and consumer affairs functions.
    Prior to joining Hyundai in 1997, he was operations strategy and analysis
manager at Nissan Motor Corp. in U.S.A.
    During his 30-year automotive career, Halper has held various wholesale
distribution and manufacturing management positions with major automotive
brands, including Chrysler, Nissan and Infiniti.
    Halper earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at California State University,
Fullerton.  An avid auto enthusiast and car collector, he lives in Yorba
Linda, Calif.
