First Priority Group, Inc., Changes Name to driversshield.com
    PLAINVIEW, N.Y., April 18 First Priority Group, Inc.
(Nasdaq: FPGP) the nation's leading provider of managed auto care services and
customer relationship management programs for the insurance industry,
announced today that it is changing its name to driversshield.com.
    The new name is intended to create brand recognition in the marketplace
and reflect the nature of the Company's business.  All subsidiaries will bear
the driversshield.com branding as well.  This name change, which was approved
by the board of directors, is subject to ratification by the shareholders of
the Company at the next annual shareholders meeting to be held during the
month of June 2000.
    "The driversshield.com name will create a uniform branding for our Company
and its subsidiaries, while making it easier to identify the kinds of
businesses we are in," said Chairman and CEO Barry Siegel. "With the Company
establishing world class partnerships, becoming profitable and moving into new
and much larger business opportunities than ever before, we felt this was an
appropriate time to make this new beginning and to establish a consistent
brand that we can build.  I expect that the driversshield.com name will soon
be widely recognized in the marketplace as a source of strength and
competitive advantage for insurance companies and as a boon for individual
drivers as well. The insurance industry and the driving public have begun to
rely on driversshield.com as the Company they can trust to provide the finest
auto repair, auto maintenance services and customer relationship management
programs to be found anywhere."
    Since its founding in 1983, First Priority Group has built a national
reputation for efficient, cost-saving management of collision claims for self-
insured corporate and municipal vehicle fleets.  Clients include Coca-Cola,
Time Warner, IBM, Hershey Foods and many other prominent corporations.
Through its affinity auto club programs, the Company has established
relationships with Providian Financial, Assurant Group (part of the Fortis
group), Aon, Protective Life, Priceline.com and other prestigious credit card,
financial organizations and web sites. The Company has recently forged a
partnership with EDS to build and develop the nation's first Internet-based

programs for the insurance industry.
