Collins & Aikman Facilities Receive 'Most Improved Supplier' Award From GM's Saturn CorporationTROY, Mich., April 17 Collins & Aikman Corporation's (NYSE: CKC) Old Fort, NC, facilities were recently presented with the "Most Improved Award" for suppliers by Saturn Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Motors. The Old Fort facilities engineer and produce interior fabrics and molded floor carpets for the global automotive industry and employ approximately 900 people. The criteria for this award included customer downtime, sort and rework and outstanding response to all issues. Although Saturn has almost 500 suppliers, only 190 received an award. Collins & Aikman was one of only four suppliers to receive the Most Improved Award.
