Sponsorship Underscores Company's Momentum
in Fast Moving 'Way to Web' Campaign

    Informix(R) Corporation (Nasdaq:IFMX), the technology leader in the software infrastructure for the i.Economy, today announced its sponsorship of Team Informix in the GrandAm and America Le Mans car racing series.
    Legendary five-time Daytona and three-time Le Mans winner Hurley Haywood will lead Team Informix along with championship winning drivers Jack Baldwin, George Robinson and Irv Hoerr. The sponsored racecar -- bearing the Informix mantra, "Way to Web"(TM) -- is a state-of-the-art Reynard 2KQ SportRacer with Judd V-10 Engine.

    The Informix vehicle is equipped with an in-car camera that gives television viewers a real time cockpit view of the race from an expert driving perspective.
