    ANNAPOLIS, Md., April 14 With the retirement of longtime
Mercedes-Benz retailer George Benson, Jeffrey A. Penn has been named retailer
principal of the Mercedes-Benz center in Annapolis, MD.  Ownership of
Mercedes-Benz of Annapolis, formerly known as Benson Motor Cars, has been
transferred to Annapolis Motors, Limited Liability Corporation.  Penn is a
member of Annapolis Motors, LLC, whose other members include the principals of
Atlantic Automotive Corporation.  Atlantic is the owner of the Herb Gordon
Auto Group, the operators of the Mercedes-Benz retail center in Silver Spring,
MD.

    For Penn, the ownership of a Mercedes-Benz retail operation is a natural
next step in a diverse automotive career.  "I have always aspired to take a
leadership position in an auto enterprise.  It is now especially gratifying to

retail network, which is renowned for excellence in both products and client

    For Mercedes-Benz, the new ownership of Mercedes-Benz of Annapolis

    According to Mercedes-Benz Washington Region General Manager Mark Korman,
"The Mercedes-Benz store in downtown Annapolis has long been popular with
clients in that area.  With Jeff Penn and Annapolis Motors, LLC heading up the
operation, there are great opportunities to further expand upon the growing
popularity of Mercedes-Benz automobiles throughout the Greater Annapolis
market."
    Penn most recently served as Director Sales, Service & Parts for Heritage
Saturn, Inc.  Atlantic Automotive Corp. is the owner Heritage Saturn,
Baltimore's exclusive Saturn retailer.  Previous to that Penn held a number of
positions including Market Area Manager for Saturn Corporation in Berwyn
Pennsylvania, Regional Marketing Planner for Nissan Motor Corporation in
Herndon, Virginia and Operations Supervisor for General Motors Corporation in
Drayton Hills, Michigan.
     Penn, a graduate of Allegheny College, is married to Sonya Penn, an
attorney in the U.S. Postal Service, and they have two children and reside in
Laurel, Maryland.
