CCX Driver Ralph Dotson Wins Delaware Motor Transit Association "Driver of the Month Award"

    SEAFORD, Del.--April 13, 2000--Con-Way Central Express (CCX) employee Ralph Dotson has been voted Driver of the Month by the Delaware Motor Transport Association (DMTA) who will present him with a plaque this month. The driver sales representative for CCX's Seaford, DE service center was nominated by company officials for his safety record and outstanding customer service. CCX is a regional less-than-truckload commercial freight carrier and a component company of Con-Way Transportation Services (CON-WAY).

    Dotson has been in the trucking industry for 21 years and has won a number of recognition and service awards. This latest award acknowledges his safety record of driving more than two million accident-free miles throughout his career. Since he joined CCX in 1995, he has driven more than 650,000 of those miles. His outstanding skills also led him to win the title of "Grand Champion" in Delaware's 1999 State Truck Driving Championships. He also won first place in the Twins Class competition, which qualified him to compete in the 1999 National Truck Driving Championships (NTDC), sponsored by the American Trucking Associations (ATA). The NTDC is considered the "World Series" of the trucking industry.
    Ralph and his wife of 30 years, Jacqueline, live in Cambridge, MD. They have three grown children and six grandchildren.
