Johnson Controls Receives 'Extra Miler' Award From AutoZone
    MILWAUKEE, April 13 AutoZone, the nation's leading auto
parts chain, has selected Johnson Controls (NYSE: JCI) for an "Extra Miler"
vendor award for the fifth consecutive year.
    The award recognizes AutoZone's top suppliers, and was recently presented
to Johnson Controls in recognition of its service, innovation and product
quality.  Johnson Controls is the exclusive manufacturer of AutoZone's
successful Duralast battery line.
    "Johnson Controls truly partners with us at AutoZone to provide our
customers with quality and innovation. The 'Extra Miler' award is a reflection
of that partnership," said Dave Wilhite, AutoZone's Senior Vice President of
Merchandising.
    AutoZone's Duralast battery line was custom designed by Johnson Controls
to enhance performance and is sold through more than 2,800 stores in 40
states, and the District of Columbia under the Duralast and Duralast Gold
brand names.
