Thrifty Car Rental Moves to New $5.5 Million Rental Facility Serving Orlando International Airport

    ORLANDO, Fla., April 13 Thrifty Car Rental, a major player
in the Orlando leisure car rental market since 1983, will move to a new
11,000 square-foot, $5.5 million facility serving Orlando International
Airport on April 14.
    The new facility is located on 11 acres, just off airport grounds at
5600 Butler National Drive and features convenient airport parking with
900 spaces and around-the-clock service.  Valet parking services are also
available.
    "This new location is twice as big as the previous one, and will allow us
to service our customers and cars more efficiently than ever, all while
maintaining the same quality standards our customers have come to expect,"
said Larry Nieves, co-owner and manager of the Orlando Thrifty franchise.
    The new location will also increase the rental counter positions to 12 for
arriving and departing customers, with special attention paid to Thrifty Blue
Chip Express Rental Program(R) members.  Blue Chip members, with a customer
profile already on file, speed through the "express" line, needing only to
present a driver's license and credit card for the keys to their car.
    Thrifty customers may also utilize the lobby's "guest services" which
offers assistance with hotel accommodations, driving directions and Orlando
area attractions.  After April 14, operations will cease at the 5757 South
Semoran Boulevard location.
    "Orlando remains at the top of the list of U.S. leisure travel
destinations," said Nieves.  "Our newest location will cater to those leisure
customers by providing them with speed and quality service.  Our corporate,
tour and meeting customers will also find Thrifty a pleasurable experience."
