Avis Offers Travelers One-Way Rental Bargains

    GARDEN CITY, N.Y., April 12 Avis Rent A Car, a member of
Avis Group Holdings, Inc. is offering exceptional one-way rates
for Florida, Arizona and Las Vegas based travelers.  Florida rates are
available to customers traveling to selected destinations in the Northeast and
Southeast.  Arizona and Las Vegas rates are available to customers traveling
to selected destinations in California and Nevada.
    The daily rate for a car rented through this offer, which is designed to
transfer a portion of the Avis fleet, is as low as $8.95 a day for a
Subcompact or Compact, and $13.95 a day for a Minivan, SUV or Convertible.  No
drop-off charges are applicable on these special rates.  Rentals are limited
to a maximum of seven days.

Officer, Avis Rental Car Group.  "These special offers enable us to
effectively transfer our fleet and at the same time, provide our customers
with exceptional value."
    Florida renters may pick up vehicles at various airport locations
throughout Florida and can return vehicles to selected locations throughout
the southeast or northeast.  One-way renters in Arizona may pick up vehicles
at either the Phoenix or Tucson Airports and can return vehicles to the Las
Vegas Airport, Reno Airport or any California location.  Rentals from Las
Vegas Airport can be returned to the Reno Airport or any California location.
    Customers traveling from Arizona or Las Vegas should request rate code
"MN."  Northeast bound travelers from Florida should ask for rate code "GD,"
while Florida customers headed to the Southeast should use rate code "F3."
    Cars are subject to availability and advanced reservations are required.
Taxes, local government surcharges, vehicle licensing fees of not more than
$1.93/day in CA, and  $.35/day in FL, airport recoupment fees up to 12% and
optional items such as LDW ($19.99/day or less), additional driver fees, fuel
service, are extra.  Other fees and conditions may apply and vary from
location.
